Cheryl Dettrick

Cheryl Dettrick has more than 20 years of experience in higher education grant administration, strategic planning, proposal development and federal grant writing and proposal review, Cheryl owns and operates a highly successful national grants consultancy firm securing an average of $8mil in grant funding per year for non-profit organizations and higher education colleges and universities. Her background in organizational development, strategic planning and client-centered engagement, lends itself to her success in fostering collegial and cooperative professional relationships with the agencies and institutions sheserves. Cheryl provides project design services, best practices research, funding, forecasting, grant reviewing and writing support. With a passion for serving minority-serving institutions, she serves as advocate for diversity, equity inclusion and accessibility. She was a previously certified Recreation Therapist who received the Therapeutic Recreation Program of the Year while working for the City of Santa Maria, received Coach of the Year for her long standing volunteer coaching efforts for the Southern CA Special Olympics and World Games competition, serves on the Special Needs Network of San Luis Obispo County, and is the proud parent of a son on the Autism Spectrum.
