David Van Siclen

David Van Siclen is a sustainable development and clean energy professional currently
serving as Project Operations Director for the nonprofit organization, The American
Manufacturing Communities Collaborative, or AMCC. David serves as the lead on AMCC’s
EDA-designated Community of Practice project, where he supports the alignment and
networking of stakeholders in the manufacturing sector; specifically individuals and
organizations that serve in the manufacturing ecosystem of support, which includes workforce
development practitioners, state and federal agencies, national networks like NIST MEP and
DoD defense communities. Previously, David has a background in nonprofit fundraising and
development, having worked as an Individual Giving Manager at the nonprofit, OpenSecrets,
and as a Business Development Manager at EarthDay.org.


David earned his undergraduate degree, an B.S. in Environmental Science, from American
University and his advanced degree, an M.P.S. in Project Management, from Georgetown
University. He is actively pursuing an M.S. in Energy Policy and Climate from John Hopkins
University.


A native of the East Bay Area in California, David has been a resident of Washington D.C. for a
decade. David is known for his collaborative spirit and strategic thinking. His goal is to continue
leveraging his skills and knowledge to drive interdisciplinary action that advances the central
tenets of sustainable development; to include economic competitiveness, social equity,
environmental sustainability, and national security.
